Most items are hand-polished before being sent out so they can arrive looking their best. Standard UK delivery time is 3-5 business days after ordering. You will receive an email when your order is shipped along with updates to your supplied email/mobile from Royal Mail.

Back-Orders
How long will my back-order take?
As this item is being handcrafted especially for you, once we have received this order, it can take between 5-6 weeks to have this completed for you before it is ready to dispatch.
Can I have this order sooner?
We would recommend checking, before you checkout, if the item you'd like is in stock along with the delivery information.
If you place a back-order and realise you need it sooner, depending upon how busy it is, we may be able to accommodate this. This does not apply during the festive period throughout the month of November and December.

Why is the lead time longer for back-orders?
As with most of our items, they are made-to-order so that we can run a more sustainable business. This allows each piece to be crafted with care and attention to detail. All items are handcrafted using traditional techniques, and this takes time.
After each item has been made, it then has to be sent for Hallmarking (where applicable) which also takes longer depending upon how busy the Assay Office is.
Delivery
Why isn't there a standard delivery option?
We do not offer standard delivery as an option as all of our products are classed as 'valuable goods', being made from precious metals.
All our items are sent using either a tracked or tracked and signed for service.
How long will my delivery take?
'In Stock' items are dispatched within 3-5 days.
Most of our items are made-to-order and any placed on back-order will be dispatched between 5-6 weeks.
UK delivery is by Royal Mail Special Delivery, so your order will usually arrive the next business day after dispatch, assuming your item is in stock.
For custom sized rings, which take longer to make, it will also be between 5-6 weeks before dispatch. These lead times are advised on the individual product page.
International deliveries via UPS and your national delivery service can take significantly longer.
Do you deliver internationally?
Yes, I use UPS International Tracked to deliver to specific countries in Europe and beyond. If your country is not available for shipping, please get in touch and I'll check if it's possible. Email hello@laconicjwls.co.uk.
How can I track my delivery?
If you chose Royal Mail Special Delivery or UPS International Tracked then your tracking information will be sent in the email confirmation you receive when your order is dispatched.
Where is my order?
For UK customers, please allow up to 7 business days after the day that you placed order for your order to arrive before contacting us. For international customers, please allow up to 28 business days after your order was placed.
If your UK order still hasn't arrived after 7 or 12 business days, please send us an email and we'll track it down for you. Just email us at sales@laconicjwls.co.uk
If you placed a back-order on a product that was out of stock, or if it is for one of our rings, these are made-to-order. You can expect this to be dispatched between 5-6 weeks. Individual information can be found for this in each product description.

International Delivery
Do I have to pay customs and/or import charges?
If you are an international customer, you will be responsible for paying customs charges, taxes and import duty when your order arrives in your country. Please check with your country’s customs and border control for more information on this.
Laconic cannot be held responsible for any charges incurred when importing items into your country.
How much additional charges will I have to pay?
How long will my order take to prepare for international import requirements?
For international orders, in order to meet requirements, your order will have to be specially sent to the Assay Office to receive a convention hallmark to allow it to be imported into your country.
This will be sent away as soon as your order is placed, timescales can vary depending upon how busy the Assay Office is (especially around Christmas). The estimated time for this is between 10-14 days.
If further information is required from you for the customs form that hasn't been provided I'll be in touch via email.
Returns
How do I exchange an item?
We want you to be satisfied with your purchase so if something isn't quite right we're very happy to exchange it for you.
Email orders@laconicjwls.co.uk if you would like to discuss your exchange, otherwise return your item as described above, stating what you would like to exchange it with.
We will cover the postage for sending the new item out. For any subsequent exchanges made on the same order, postage will be charged at our usual rates.
Can I exchange a gift I've received?
As long as you have proof of purchase then we're happy to exchange your item if it is part of our ready-to-wear collections. Please follow the return instructions above.
If your item has been custom designed and tailor made, we cannot accept exchanges. This does not effect your statutory rights.
Gift Vouchers
I ordered a paper gift voucher, how will this be sent?
Your paper voucher will be sent to the shipping address you provided via a Signed For method.
UK delivery is by Royal Mail Signed For, so your order will usually arrive in 3-5 days.
International deliveries via Royal Mail and your national delivery service can take significantly longer.
How long is my voucher valid for?
Whether you have an e-gift voucher or a paper voucher, these are both valid for 18 months from the date of purchase.
How do I use my voucher?
For e-gift vouchers: Your voucher will have a 12 digit code separated by dashes. At the bottom of the checkout screen where payment details are it asks if you have a gift voucher. Input the entire code, including dashes, into this box to redeem.
For paper vouchers: Your voucher will have a 12 digit code. At the top of the checkout screen it asks if you have a coupon. Input the entire code into this box to redeem.
